Door de verglazing van de uiteinden van de infrastructuur hoeven servers niet langer naast elkaar in één afgesloten ruimte te staan. Decentralisatie van de datacenters heeft ook als voordeel dat ze integraal onderdeel worden van de leefomgeving.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Een beweging van efficiëntie naar effectiviteit is vereist voor decentralisatie. Dit betekent dat decentrale data zich met name zal manifesteren in de buurt van gebruikers en energie(knooppunten).
